Fundraiser For Thomas Wagstaff
Thomas Wagstaff, Independence Police Officer, was shot in the line of duty March 29th, 2017. He is a proud parent of two teenage sons and a devoted husband to his college sweetheart, Stacy–an elementary school art teacher. Tom is the nicest guy anyone from the Department, his church, his sons’ scout troop and athletic teams, his wife’s school, and his old rugby team has ever met. While the Independence Police Department and other social services will cover most medical bills. We have organized a successful fundraiser selling thin blue line bracelets and keychains (made our 550 paracord) manufactured by warrior tactical training. All the fund went to the officer to help with long term care and other expenses.
Our fundraiser raised over $2000 that was sent in form of a check to the independence police department. .
Fundraiser for Gary Michael Memorial
Police Officer Gary Michael was shot and killed during a traffic stop in the area of East Green Street and North 2nd Street at approximately 10:45 pm.When Officer Michael stopped the vehicle for suspected registration violation, the driver exited the vehicle and opened fire. Despite being mortally wounded, Officer Michael was able to return fire. It is not known if the subject was shot. The man fled the scene in the vehicle then crashed two blocks away. The subject then fled on foot and remains at large. Officer Michael had served with the Clinton Police Department for less than one year.
We helped in the fundraiser effort and raiser over 1,000 that went to the officers family.
Sponsoring 44th Annual National Latino Peace Officers Association Conference
The goal of the National Latino Peace Officers Association is to promote equality and professionalism in law enforcement. The objectives of the organization are to create a fraternal/professional Association that provides its members and members of the community with career training; conferences and work shops to promote education and career advancement; mentoring; and a strong commitment to community service.
NLPOA members build bridges between law enforcement and their communities while working to reduce neighborhood tensions through awareness programs and role model programs. Our philosophy regarding youth and education has reinforced the important contributions that our cultural diversity has provided this great nation. The National Latino Peace Officers Association in the largest Latino law enforcement association in the United States.
We beloved the work that the NLPOA is doing in the community is great and aligns with our mission statement, therefore we have sponsored them as an organization and sponsored their 44th Annual National Latino Peace Officers Association Conference .
On going donation to FIDF: Friends of the Israel Defense Forces
Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) was established in 1981 by a group of Holocaust survivors, under the leadership of John Klein z’l, to provide for education and wellbeing of the men and women who serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as well as the families of fallen soldiers. Headquartered in New York City, FIDF is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation that operates 15 regional offices in the United States and Panama.
The strength of the IDF, which has been guarding the State of Israel since it declared independence in 1948, derives from the selfless determination and great capabilities of the young men and women who form it. At the tender age of 18, all Israelis are drafted into the IDF. Those who serve commit to uphold the difficult tasks of defending Israel’s borders and guaranteeing the safety of its people.
The Israeli government is responsible for training IDF soldiers and providing them with the necessary tools for their service. FIDF is committed to providing these soldiers with love, support, and care in an effort to ease the burden they carry on behalf of the Jewish community worldwide.
Donation to Disaster Relief Following Hurricane Harvey
Warrior Tactical Training donated $5,000 to relief and recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. The donation was sent to the American Red Cross to provide vital resources to hurricane victims across Texas and other impacted communities.
